Even just on the foreshore of Shibetsu, scallops have different textures depending on where they are caught. The tour takes in a fishing boat landed with freshly caught scallops at the harbor and the auction. When the auction is over, the sight of large quantities of scallops being landed from the boats onto the trucks is a spectacular sight! If you are lucky, you may even hear directly from the fishermen about the secrets of Shibetsu's delicious scallops. This is a tour where you can get a real feel for the fishing industry.

- In winter, the temperature drops below freezing, especially in fishing harbor where the wind is strong and the temperature is lower. We recommend heavy windproof jackets, gloves, and benie to keep the cold out.
Summer temperatures also vary greatly.Please come with one additional piece of clothing to your planned clothing. It's better to have a hat to protect you from the sun.
Also, please wear comfortable walking shoes as the footing is very slippery.
